Android Phone Space Full, Can't free up Space

I recently hit the limit for my android phone of 8 GB, I unchecked a bunch of playlists but the space will not free up. Any help would be appreciated.

You can force clear the cache from the settings menu, but that would mean you need to resync all offline content.
