Desktop Not Picking Up Android Device

If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated...

 

My desktop (running Windows 😎 Spotify app isn't picking up my Samsung Galaxy Note II (running Android 4.3) even while both are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

 

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling on both my desktop and my on phone with no success.

 

Anyone have any input or similar issues and how'd you resolve them?

Try these steps in order:

 

  • Disable all firewalls, antivirus and other security apps on your PC
  • Make sure UPnP is enabled on your router
  • Restart your mobile

Just tried it with disabled firewall and UPnP has always been enabled on my router, still no luck 😕

Have you made sure that there is no ther firewall or antivirus/security app running - windows firewall, norton, kaspersky etc? Also (sorry for going back to basics) spotify is running on your android and NOT in offline mode?

 

Can you also make sure that the account you are logged into (bottom of the android spotify settings screen) is the same as on your PC?
