I am experimenting with the "Jam" feature. I love it - but whenever anyone touches the queue, the song playing glitches for a microsecond. It happens when people add songs from their phones. Really annoying. If it's an active jam its unlistenable.
Anyone else experiencing this?
same for me, very infuriating
love that this is finally on desktop but yeah any queue manipulation restarts a song for non hosts. adding/removing/changing song position/etc. and jams stopped working altogether on my pixel 7a a few months ago
also trying to manually skip to the correct time to accommodate for this also causes the song to restart. trying to change to a specific time always restarts the song for me
Cmon Spotify. Get it together. This has been an issue for a long time.
This was happening to me too
This is also happening on macOS 14.4.1
Keeping the thread alive; I'm experiencing this issue. Running the windows desktop application (version: Spotify for Windows (64 bit) 1.2.35.663.gb699649e)
the issue is still there, using remote jam, both ends windows OS, the issue seems to be happening only for the non-host joiners
Same for us on iPhone and desktop player... Every song re-starts on everyone but the host after exactly 10s.
Same issue, also on PC, also only seen by non-host.
I am experiencing the same issue as a guest.
Both host and guest are the same OS, version, and hardware. 2021 MacBook Pro 16" M1 Max. No VPNs or other network configuration that would add latency.
Spotify for macOS (Apple Silicon)
1.2.39.578.g0ea3f38b
I would like to also add that I'm having these issues with my friends using Spotify on Windows OS as well. I saw everyone talking about iOS and Android but didn't see anyone mentioning they had these issues on PC.
My friend (who got Spotify solely for this feature!) and I have a similar issue. Whenever we don't play music via a playlist or radio, adding things to the queue will restart the current song for the non-host. We both use the desktop app on windows in the latest version.
My friends and I are having the same issue. It really destroys the whole experience. If this does not get fixed, the jam function basically gets useless. What a shame.
It's still an issue for for desktop app on windows.
Still happening. I'm using two Windows PCs with the desktop app up-to-date on both. Ridiculous that video software like Plex can handle this type of thing with no issues.
FIX THIS.
This is still happening, every time me and my friends add song it restarts the song, I also notice that my queue as a host and my other friends’ queues aren’t the same, but it’ll play song from the host queue, and frankly it’s annoying for me, because we take turns as host. Please fix this, I’m happy that we can use this feature but this made listening to music together an infuriating experience
Having the same issue , up to date android alp. Only happens when I'm not the host.
having the same issue
Hey folks,
Just to confirm, this occurs only on the participants' end, correct? The host is unaffected?
In any case, please share the following so we can investigate further:
Cheers 🤘
