Having trouble shuffling big playlists

Is anyone else in the situation where they cannot shuffle big playlists?

That I cannot shuffle by simply pressing the "Shuffle"-button. There's no reaction from the app. The only way I can play it is by randomly pressing a song and then press the shuffle-icon in the playback interface.

It doesn't matter if I try to shuffle whether playing on the phone or by casting to some other device.

Same problem on two different Android phones.

Galaxy S21

OnePlus 7

Latest version of Android on them both and the Spotify app is updated.

Any ideas why it is behaving this way?
