Great that Spotify finally support login using Google. However, this doesn't help us loyal customers who have been using your service since the beginning. We want the possibility to convert our current email/password login to using Google instead. This would be much more convenient and more secure. Both are very important factor when choosing which service provider to choose for our listening needs.

We've gone ahead and marked this as a new suggestion. Spotify Staff will look into this idea once it reaches the necessary amount of votes.

Currently, it's not possible to link an existing Spotify account to Google Sign In while the feature is in its test phase.

However, a possible workaround would be creating a new Spotify account using their Google account.

Then this Spotify Answer explains the account transfer option.

Your Idea has been submitted a while ago, and unfortunately hasn't gathered enough votes (50 votes within 3 months) to keep it active in the Exchange. Be sure to know that this does not mean that your Idea has been declined by Spotify.

Don't worry, your Idea will still be able to gain more votes, and may get a Live Idea status if it receives enough of them.
