Right now, my "friend activity" is super sparse because I don't have a FB account (which seems to be required for me to find my friends). I can count on one hand the people that I follow, but I have been so enriched by the few people that I follow. I've discovered new music, caught up with what's hot within my friend circles, as well as interact with my friends IRL more about music. I think it would be really cool if I could look up public Spotify playlists within my city to see what kind of music people are listening to in order to further expand on this sense of sharing/community. This would likely provide greater diversity of music than what's available on Spotify's curated playlists while highlighting the local flavor. An interactive element could be that people can comment on playlists and get to know the people in their community as well.
Your Idea has been submitted a while ago, and unfortunately hasn't gathered enough votes (50 votes within 3 months) to keep it active in the Exchange. Be sure to know that this does not mean that your Idea has been declined by Spotify.
Don't worry, your Idea will still be able to gain more votes, and may get a Live Idea status if it receives enough of them.
