scrobble to other services

Status: Inactive Idea
It would be great if scrobbling wouldn't be limited just on last.fm. I would love provide my own scrobbling service - not just last.fm. Or at least provide such a mechanism through the spotify API.

Implementing this feature would be in theory quite straight forward. Instead of sending scrobbles to last.fm, forwarding them to http://turtle.libre.fm/ .

Or as a workaround while this is not implemented, add an entry to the client hosts file (as it states in http://turtle.libre.fm/ ).

While the /etc/hosts workaround might work on the desktop, I don't see how this should work for iOS for example. I fear official support is needed.
