Does decreasing the volume on my phone have an impact on the streaming count?

Hello! I've recently begun utilizing Spotify and have curated several playlists, one of which I refer to as my "Nighttime Playlist." However, on occasion, I prefer to decrease the volume and focus on other activities, such as studying. I'm curious to know whether reducing the volume on my phone, perhaps to around 15% of its maximum volume, has any impact on my streaming count?

Welcome to the Community and thanks for reaching out!

I doubt the app takes into account the volume of the song you're listening to - it just detects whether you're playing it. So I'd say you have nothing to worry about: as long as the song is actually playing and you've listened to a good amount of it, it will count as a stream towards the artist!
