"Couldn't load the lyrics for this song" error

As of version 8.8.20.544 and the version prior to that has caused the lyrics from my personal playlist in my device 'Samsung-SMJ250F' to disappear, at first I thought it was brcause the songs were old but way older songs still had lyrics
The playlist is a private playlist featuring all songs of 'DragonForce'
and after the update none of the songs had lyrics.

I compared my free account to my friend with premium, she has all the lyrics and I dont. It really does seem they're making lyrics a premium feature. Very dissapointing.

Lately a lot of lyrics has been gone. It always says 'We're still working on this lyrics'. But I know it's been there before. It mostly happens to better known songs.

I suspect there are bad words there because I tried some songs from MUPP and Sadfriendd but they have bad words and show that lyrics couldn't load for that song

Wenn ich nach unten scrolle, steht fast immer „Die Lyrics können nicht geladen werden", früher war das aber nicht so, ich habe die app gelöscht und wieder runtergeladen, meine Cache geleert, mein W-Lan gecheckt, aner funktioniert immer noch nicht.

Look, Nobody cares why lyrics, no longer work. They just want lyrics for most songs on Spotify. And suddenly, since I guess you lost your license with musicmatch, most of them no longer work. Well this is a bunch of baloney. It doesn’t matter why they don’t work, the fact is they don’t work. Please fix it. Anyway possible. Having lyrics on the music service, is just such a great feature that without it, it’s just diminishes the entire value of that music service. Please get lyrics back.

My Question or Issue

After updating the Spotify app on my Mac, I've been having trouble accessing Lyrics. It's becoming quite frustrating. It keeps giving me the message, "Hmm. We don't know the lyrics for this one," even though they lyrics are available on Spotify mobile and website. 
I've tried signing out and even deleting the app, but the it's still the same thing. This is something I've never encountered before the update.

i'm italian and the app let me see only italian songs' lyric. when i listen to a song in english it says: could not load lyric. with italian songs the lyric works but in inglish ones it doens't. sorry for grammar. it only appens when i listen fom my phone, when i listen from my pc the lyric works in all languages

These community administrators are saying**bleep**. I used spotify live chat and the lyrics became and premium-only feature. Its not about availability like these mods told us. And apparently we got a nonexistent notification about this.

This whole community page is literally made of trash. Go ask spotify live chat if you want to get the real answers.

songs that had lyrics before are no longer showing up this issue needs to be fixed. at first i thought it might have been a problem with me having an out of date version but even after updating the issue is still there. please fix this.

I just checked musicmatch and all the songs that spotify says it can't load lyrics for are on musicmatchs page with full lyrics!

Time to find a new music streaming service? i think so.

Well imagine that, google music has all the lyrics to the songs spotify doesn't. both using the same service for lyrics. going to be a pain to teach a new streaming service what music i like, but will be worth it for lyrics again, take care spotify, sorry i dumped so much money into you over the years.

This happened to me too, most of System Of A Down songs (if not all) don't have lyrics anymore. This goes for Limp Biskit and other bands and artists too, its so odd, especially since they used to have lyrics.

Why i don't see no one of lyrics. Literally no one of lyrics of the songs.
