Spotify can't play this right now

My Question or Issue

Spotify gives error message "Spotify can't play this right now. If you have the file on your computer you can import it." no matter what song I try to play. Changing audio output to another and then back to fixes this (I'm using ASUS Xonar DGX audiocard). However everytime restarting app I need to change audio output again. Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community.

I suggest you to delete the local file cache. To do this go to %appdata% > roaming > Spotify > User > Your Account Name > delete Local-Files.   Also make sure that you are closed out of Spotify before doing this so then when you launch Spotify again it would already be corrected.

Tried this method few times but didn't work. The error still occurs...

After reading other topics I found out that running spotify.exe as administrator fixes this problem.
