Spotify won’t open due to device license

Spotify won’t open due to device license

Hello there, was just wondering if someone can help me. I just got a new windows computer and have the Spotify app downloaded. It worked perfectly fine but after a few hours it came up with the message “CLiP license device ID does not match the device ID in the bound device license”. Was just wondering is anyone knows how to fix this?

That's odd. Could you send over a screenshot of this error message? Also, does it help to log out and log back into the app? Let me know how it goes! 🙂

Hi there, 

Thanks for your reply. This message pops up every time I try to open the app, meaning I can actually get into the app to logout/login.

I have fixed it thanks! Laptop just needed an update but didn't tell me it did!
