My desktop app is skipping tracks, how can I stop/fix this?

If you haven't tried already, we'd recommend a quick reinstall, followed by turning your device off and on. That should do the trick!

 

If not, the issue could be caused by the playback device. You can check if there are any devices available. Open CMD and execute the following command : 

 

control mmsys.cpl sounds

Set one of the devices as default (or change the current one), then restart Spotify and see if it works.
