Why is there no connection in the app when my WiFi’s fine?




Having trouble getting Spotify to connect, despite your device being connected to WiFi successfully? Try these steps for your device:




  • Try restarting your computer, then opening Spotify again.
  • Try restarting your router.
  • Double check that your internet connection’s working for other devices. 
  • Check to see if any firewalls have Spotify set as an exception. 


Tip: Sometimes a public Wi-Fi network is blocking Spotify. In that case, you can ask the public network administrator to unblock Spotify. 




  • Try restarting your phone, then opening Spotify again.
  • Try restarting your router.


Tip: Check if Mobile Data is toggled on or off for the app in the settings menu for your device. If it’s off, this will mean that you can only access Spotify with the help of a WiFi connection. You’ll avoid the chance of high data usage by having this toggled off.
