Ability to Delete Radio Stations

Why are you guys starting us out with Radio stations that you pick for us. Why can't we have no stations and then decide on genre or artists ourselves. Now I'm stuck with a David Guetta station and I don't even know who he is. Also why can't we get a like or dislike button for the songs that come up in the radio station. Skipping a song doesn't mean we don't like it, maybe we are just not in the mood to listen to it at that time.

2014-04-25 Hey everyone. We're back again! And we're excited to announce this idea status is now "Implemented". Now you can delete radio stations on desktop, web, iPhone, and Android. Thanks for your feedback everyone! We're excited to give you this feature based on your support for this idea.

You can easily delete stations on Pandora, which is one of your main competitors ,sort it out Spotify or you're gonna lose users to alternative competitors who's  app works better. There is no room for mediocrity in this type of marketplace. Your either the King at this ... Or the Joker!

It is a well-known rule of software design that if you allow a user to create something, you must allow them to delete it.  I can't believe that you don't support this simple action and consider this a severe deficiency.

ugh. c'mon already and make this possible.

"we are working on other projects that feel are much higher priority right now" Understand that we don't give a snot anymore about your priority. We want this and in my case, I have deleted the software until this is fixed. Using that other "P" company.

When the final desktop version 0.9.8 is rolled out to everyone, you will be able to delete radio stations by hovering over and clicking on the X

It will make you keep at least one radio station however, but if you have more than one you can delete them.

It's now 2014. When  will deleting a radio station become a priority?

ScottD

Encouraging to hear the Spotify people are actually considering this.  I'll believe it when I see it.  They don't seem to know what priorities to set for themselves.

This topic really shows how Spotify values our opinions and how they choose to communicate with users. Two years ago, "won't happen", "higher priorities", "Not Right Now". Two years later, "Coming in Beta". No communication during that 2-year span. They don't even try to pretend to care. All I am waiting for is for Google Music Offline to become available on all platforms so that I can switch.

"Why are you guys starting us out with Radio stations that you pick for us."  Seriously?  It was the developers that picked the genre for me for my first station?  Because, I find the genre they picked for me to be very offensive. It clashes with my world view, to say the least.  This is just my second day with the app but I can't see myself keeping something that I find so offensive.

Serously Spotify?  You can't delete a station...Worst functionality EVER.  That is just basic programming, you obviously don't have the skills needed to do it.  If you don't listen to you customers you will end up like blackberry.  Inferior Functionality + higher costs = death spiral.
