[All Platforms][Your Library] Increase maximum Songs allowed in Your Music

Status: Implemented

I feel like the maximum amount of songs allowed in one playlist, and subsequently in "Songs" playlist under the new "Collections" feature, should be more than 10,000.

Quite frankly it should be unlimited.

We are paying for a service but limited on how many songs we are able to save? That is absurd to me.

I recently started saving all of my albums into "Collections" and got stuck at about 1/4 of the way through - 10,000 songs has been reached and I am no longer able to save any more albums.

PLEASE INCREASE MAX NUMBER OF SONGS IN COLLECTION FEATURE!!!

WHAT IS A COLLECTION IF YOU HAVE TO LIMIT YOUR TASTE???

Hey,

Thanks for coming to the Idea Exchange.

We're excited to be marking this idea as implemented!
We've now removed the limit on saved items in Your Library, making it possible to save songs, and albums on Spotify to your heart's content.

As the app has changed quite a bit since this idea was submitted, please be aware that some functionality is now different. This change does not impact the limit on the number of songs in a playlist other than your Liked Songs.

For more info, check out this blog post.

There still can be no playlist over 10,000 songs. The best you can do is group multiple 10,000 track playlists into a single playlist FOLDER. The playlist folder is not shareable, so i can’t give you a link to my playlist folder which encompasses 7 ~10,000 track playlists. I can only give you a link to each of the individual playlists in the folder. Here’s the first one, called Shuffle Roulette #1: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/7emomn4Nl95Z6LpBH7NooL?si=p6_xhYOLT2ytuwQF1vj5qw

@DenalB right, but only if you take the songs in that playlist and then manually add them to your library. I think some people here are confused that Spotify caps your playlist at 10K which they have always said is the workaround to their stupid 10K library cap.

@Spaceboy88 That’s what I want to do. 😉

@timothymartin73 Thanks for the playlist.

THANK YOU for finally implementing this, and doing so by making it truly unlimited. GAME CHANGER!!!

Yes. Very great news. That’s the final reason for me to switch back to Spotify now. 👍

I’m so happy. Thank you Spotify!! You’re going to get more customers now I reckon. This has always been my only complaint about Spotify and I was losing hope

also found an article on this change. There’s a tweet from a Spotify developer confirming the change. Woo! https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.theverge.com/platform/amp/2020/5/26/21270409/spotify-song-library-l...

good news, but how come i still get the ‘epic music collection’ error message when i try to add more than 10000 tracks to my ‘liked songs’ playlist?

and how are there collections with playlists over 10,000 tracks, as shown in the screenshot of the message by ‘Bruhdamn’ right after the Spotify announcement?
