Completele misalignment of "More of what you like" and listening history

Lately I noticed that "Discover weekly" and "More of what you like" started excessively pushing genres that I neither like not ever intentionally listen to. However "Made for sdric" accurately reflects my listening history. I feel like spotifys algorithm is currently broken, otherwise I can't explain the massive dissonance. I'll add my full case to showcase the issue

Made for sdric

  • [Movie Soundtracks] Benjamin Richter, Zack Hemsey, Erik Holm

  • [Indie Rock / New Metal / Crossover] Gorillaz, Of Monsters and Men, Mike Shinoda

  • [Synthwave / Neo Futurismus] The Midnight, Wolf CLUB, Nina

  • [Punk Rock, New Metal, Metal] Rise Against, Linkin Park, Five Finger Death Punch

  • [Alternative Metal] Diztord, Smash into Pieces, Throw the Fight

  • (Not in the list, but my SO also frequently listens to pop-music from her home country in East Asia)

Vs

"More of what you like"

  • Hip Hop

  • Ghetto Gangster Rap

This is such an insane miss-match. How is this even possible? "More of what you like" features genres that I never listen to and aritists that I utterly hate.

Is the algorithm broken? How can it be that far off?
