The Ideal Song Length?

The question this time is simple: do you have preferences in track length or no?

Do you prefer shorter or longer tracks and does your choice depend on the genre or some other quality of music?

What made me want to ask that question is one detail in a particular "I'm addicted to music" starter pack:
"5:02 - eww that's too long" :'D

Once again, I'm breaking into your topic.
My personal preferences depend on the musical genre:
Punk? 2:30 in length. A very fast tornado that shakes the walls of the studio and reorganizes the furniture.
Pop? 3:50 .. time to listen to a good refrain two or three times.
Experimental? how much do you want. Minutes, hours, full immersion and backpacking thoughts.

For me it depends on the artist, but in general I think I prefer a lot of longer songs, as these are quite abundant in my library; I think this is partly because I like when songs have ample time to explore their melodic and rhythmic patterns and evolve, but this is probably also in part due to the genres that I like to listen to the most: psychedelic/space/stoner rock and live jam band songs seem to commonly stretch out in this manner
