Why am I hearing songs that have been cut short from their original studio recordings like on radio?

Ex: Foreigner’s Feels like the first time. First one I’ve experienced. Hope there is no other but questioning motive for shortening song. I’m 57 and I own the vinyl, heard this song over a million times and know when it’s been tampered with among many other songs fm and Sirius radio have done. The reason I don’t listen to those formats

Hence you can choose which one do you prefer to listen to 😊
