2020 was a drag for a lot of people, and yet, excellent, diligent musicians still managed to put out some fantastic funky music.

These are my personal favorite 15 albums of the year. They may not all be 100% Funk, but they are all funky. The criteria is that they must have been made with heart & soul in the spirit of Funk music. It's mostly instrumental music because that's what I dig most.

Mestizo Beat's album is my favorite of the year. Jungle Fire is a close second. The rest are in no exact order. I combined Polyrhythmics' two releases into one entry.
