Post Your Trip-Hop Playlist Here!

Trip hop is a sub-genre of electronic music that originated in the early 1990s in the United Kingdom, especially Bristol. It has evolved over the past decades and still growing with artist like Tricky and Massive Attack. This is my first post and more to come.

Trip-Hop: 50 Lounge Cuts from Planet Mellow is ambient focussed. Hope you enjoy!

@petersspotify Really good playlist, good choice of songs, nicely blended together and a good flow to it.

Stands head and shoulders above most of the playlist in here, it's does help I like that kind of music but it's the effort you've put in also, well done.

I also like to blend a few on my Profile you might enjoy

This is mine. I just started to use Spotify after several years of MP3, hundreds of CDs, and an mild successful attempt on online radio streaming. https://open.spotify.com/user/triptica/playlist/78YtIegqoEjRfR3gxLVGX9

My plan is to update this playlist with new music every tuesday, you can keep track of it on my blog: http://triptica.com

Thanks for the support @What_is_Soul It's nice when someone appreciate the effort. You've got a nice collection yourself. Keep up the great work!

@triptica Good selection of songs, but 9 songs isn't a playlist, it's 9 songs. 🙂

Anyway, interesting blog you have!

@jazzwhatever I update the list weekly with 9-13 songs, and keep another lists to have a log of it. Today was the fisrt update so...

Being curious: how many songs should a good playlist have, for you?

Thanks for checking the plalist and the blog!

I think a minimum of 20 songs. But if you want to keep it to 9 songs it's fine too. I really liked the content so it's okay for now..

If you want to read more about making good playlists here's an interesting post on our forum:

Way too many songs - these things should be compiled either by decade, country, ect.

Very enjoyable.

HC

@HenriClement I checked your profile. You found some nice triphop songs but compiled them in short lists. And they are categorised as 'Paris fr week nr'. while those songs are mostly not from france. So what do you mean with your comment 'they should be categorised by decade, country?

Would be nice if you could post a triphop playlist in this topic, i know you got triphop knowledge. 🙂

Another journey thru the world of Trip-Hop. Deeper and more experimental. Trip-Hop: Feel the Rhythm with over 80 percussion driven tracks by Digitable Planets, Ocote Soul Sounds, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Red Snapper and beyond. Build in 2011 and updated ever since. Keep digging!

Don't they have Spotify in Brazil? And what do you mean with uploading to Spotify? You can view local tracks from your own library, but other's can't, unless they have the track on their harddisk.

Anyway, i hope you will make a cool triphop playlist! You have a good music taste.

Don't they have Spotify in Brazil : they do, but hooked on an computer with external Dac/Amp for most it's per pay per use data wise.

What's the code to insert to post a playlist here ?

All Instrumental.

You can copy Spotify Url or copy playlist link and paste it here. But if you want the image to show, you need to copy embed code and insert it in the HTML text. It's a bit complicated since the forum was redesigned. I think it's a bug, so it will change i think.

And thanks for sharing those 6 tracks 🙂 Can you please post a 20-25 track playlist just for the playlist forum? Would be much appreciated!

Check this album out, it will fit well in your playlist. It's only instrumental trip-hop and trap songs with a hint of ethnic sound.

Hi,

I'd like to share one of my favourtite songs from our album Monsters. We are a duet from Argentina called Anybody There.
We recorded our first album without knowing at each other in person, just throught the internet. It was a surprising experience, fortunately, and now we are recording our second album (but have met in real life a lot after that).

I really hope you enjoy it!
