My Question or Issue

The Web Player is not working and when I go on it, it shows a button saying play on spotify but when I click it it pops up on the same page.

Hey there folks,

We haven't heard back from you in a bit regarding this.

Since this should be fixed after updating your device's Chrome OS, we'll close this Ongoing Issue as Fixed.

If you're having troubles with a similar issue on a Chromebook or a device running another OS, let us know in the relevant Help Board and we'll be happy to lend a hand there.

Have a lovely day 🙂

Yeah, it comes up with like eight of the Spotify-generated playlists and isn't formatted at all like usual. It looks like you're not even logged in. Even using the site instead of the app yields the same result.

yea i have the same problem and i don't like it b/c i cant listen to my music only the music they give.

Yes, why am I spending $15+ a month on this service if they are going to deprecate the only way to use it on my device, since there is no native app for chrome os?

Same here. Not Chromebook but a generic Linux (Linux Mint to be specific) on an old HP Laptop.

I've created a topic (since I didn't know how this site works) here: https://community.spotify.com/t5/Other-Partners-Web-Player-etc/Can-t-open-web-player-there-s-some-du...

I have a google pixelbook - my web player just reverted back to the old format so I am able to use spotify again!

Edit: nevermind, I refreshed, and it went back to the same dummy page. 😞
