Spotify app is skipping after a few seconds on Samsung TVs

We've received reports that the Spotify app is skipping after a few seconds, with multiple mentions of Samsung TVs.  The reports note that tracks are playing without audio on the Samsung TV devices, and trouble-shooting has already been tried.

Thank you for reporting this to us. An issue has been identified regarding skipping on Samsung TVs. The right folks are looking into this and working on a solution.

 

We're not able to provide an exact timeline for a fix, but we'd recommend always keeping your Samsung TV's firmware and also the Spotify app up to date. This way you will ensure you're on the latest version and will receive the fix as soon as it's out.

 

For anyone experiencing this with a different TV brand, make sure to share your details in this thread.

I have the same issue with a Samsung television. The music is muted, 10 seconds play and skip to the next song.

I have same problems as others with Samsung TV. Just bought the tv and downloaded everything. Spotify skips songs and hops on and off between playlist and home, no music can be heard. I have unplugged TV and set uo router multiple times. I have downloaded spotify again and again, nothing seems to help. Please advice.

It was working fine only 2 days ago. The only workaround is to use AirPlay to cast music to the TV, which is crappy in more ways than one.

This is unacceptable service. Maybe don't lay off so many people next time and fix your **bleep** TV app.

Actually, I've used the Spotify App with my Samsung TV for a few weeks
after getting it in mid April. Had no issues until two weeks ago.

This has nothing to do with Samsung TV itself. Whoever developed the app
**bleep** the pooch.

On Samsung TV (Tizen) the time indicator and progress bar of a song always begins at 0:22 seconds instead of 0:00. It also reaches the end of the song long before the song actually finishes.

I have the same issue 8 months now, i cannot use Spotify on my TV (which is the most time played for me), i cannot contact anyone from Spotify team to help me. Is there a way i can speak with someone?

@Kiril is there any possibility to communicate about solving this issue? How far are the right folks in resolving this or informing about progress. As you already noticed was your first response was in januari, now it is june..... you are not creating happy users!! Please respond and inform. Thanks in advance for your response!!
