Hey @janwhalen and @bohr0001,
Thanks for posting in the Community!
I just want to point out that the official domain of Spotify is @spotify.com so if you've received an email from a different address and you suspect that it may be a scam or phishing, then we strongly recommend not to click on any links from it or provide your personal details.
It's also worth mentioning that you can even report such fraudulent emails and for more info, you can check out this article.
Hope this helps clear things up and let us know if you're wondering about something else.
Cheers 🙂
I just got the same email, but it was sent to a different account than the one I used to sign up for Spotify. My gut says it's a fake. For reference, I have a background in cyber security and I see things like this often. Usually if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

I just got this and noticed it came from Jose somebody. It’s definitely a scam. I reported and blocked it
I was silly enough and did the survey but then it realised it looked fishy so I closed googled if this was a fake. No personal details added and have changed password, will this be okay?
Had the exact same thing today. The email address is **bleep**’s obviously yet another scam doing the rounds! I’d block, report & delete. I know I will be!
I got this too today. I reported it as phishing. It was in my junk mail and from jetzsky or something
I responded to a Spotify advert I received in my inbox with an offer of a free pair of Bose earbuds. All I had to do was complete a short survey and send £2 for postage. Instead of Bose earbuds, I was surprised to receive an email from Masteringcodes advising me of a programming course I had signed up to with the first five days for £2, and £63 per month there after. This Melemele company is based in Nicosia, Cyprus.
As the £2 had debit pending, I then spent over an hour being grilled by Lloyds bank for allowing this company to ‘fly under’ the bank’s radar. Fortunately, I was able to get my credit card cancelled and hopefully will receive a replacement in a week or so.
Unlike you I was stupid enough to fall for this and entered my bank card details to pay for the earbuds , just noticed today that I have had other small payments taken over the last 4 days. To make matters worse my bank are not taking this seriously enough as one other payment was cleared today after I reported it as fraudulent. Apparently I subscribed to something called givagift.com …..I’m such an **bleep** for not spotting this scam
