Release Radar

Release Radar

What I want from a release radar playlist:

1. Only releases from the last week from artists I follow

2. All releases from the last week from all artists I follow

At least once a day, songs drop off and new ones are added. What's bad in this case is the date added for the new songs shows the same date as the ones that were originally added on Friday. If a new song is added on Monday, the date added says 3 days ago. This makes it very difficult to know which songs on the playlist are new.

Another problem is the playlist does not include new releases from all the artists I follow. Every week new music from at least a few of my followed artists is not included on the release radar playlist.

Finally, my release radar contains more than just the most recent releases. The playlist always contains several dozen songs that were released weeks or months prior, and which I have already listened to.

If anyone else is annoyed by this, the workaround I have come up with is to dump the entire release radar into another playlist. That way I can see at a glance if something on release radar already exists in the other playlist, and I can know to skip it.

Remember that even though the status is set as Not right now as there are no immediate plans to implement this, it doesn't mean the idea has been rejected.
