Why can't I navigate Spotify through CarPlay?

I recently discovered that using Carplay in my 2016 Mazda 3's dial knob, I am unable to navigate Spotify. The touch screen is still functional, but as a safety measure, my car turns it off while I'm driving. I've always used my dial knob to navigate Spotify and other CarPlay apps, and both have always worked but Spotify isn't working for some reason. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

Can you let us know roughly when this started happening - after an OS or app update? Also, it would be helpful if you let us know your device model, OS version and Spotify version and how you connect to your car.

Hi Alex. I resolved the issue. I restarted my iPhone and that seemed to do the trick. Thanks for replying back. I appreciate it.

Hello I am a new user of Spotify and have just discovered the same issue on my MINI's version of CarPlay.

To investigate this further, please let us know the following:

• Your phone model, OS version and Spotify version.
• The troubleshooting steps you've tried (e.g. log out and back in a couple of times, re-pair your phone, clean reinstall the Spotify app).
• How things look on your end. (If possible, have someone take a few photos or record a video of the issue when it happens)

Hello I have tried it again and it now seems to be working - maybe it was a tiny bug that's resolved.
