Why isn't my podcast appearing in "New Episodes"?

Why isn't my podcast appearing in "New Episodes"?

I've just been onto the Podcaster support for the last 2 hours and 20 minutes with no resolution to this problem. I'm a podcaster, working on my second series, currently uploading, but for whatever reason it's not appearing in "new episodes" for myself or any subscribers.

They weren't getting notifications. Even after resolving the notification issue, the episodes still aren't appearing in "new episodes". Other platforms are picking up the RSS feed and are even giving notifications/showing it in their feed, and the episodes are in the podcast page, so it's not like their not uploading or unavailable on Spotify.
I've done everything (log out, reinstall, check settings, etc), and nothing has fixed the issue.
Please help.

Hey @luproductions,

Thanks for reaching out. We moved your post from the Idea Exchange to the help boards since it's not an idea.

Keep in mind that the Community can't help with issues related to Spotify for Podcasters. For now, we'd suggest waiting a few hours to see if the episode shows up. However, if it doesn't, you should reach out to them once again as we don't have info on what could be causing this.

If anything else comes up, the Community will be here.

Reach out to who? The chat support people? They're the ones who told me to post on the idea page.

Hey again @luproductions!

It sounds like you might have been in touch with our Customer Support team instead of the Podcaster Support. You'll need to reach out to the Spotify for Podcasters folks by going to this link. This is the right team to help with your request.

Thanks for understanding.

No, I was already onto the Podcast Support Team. They told me to come here. I can copy and paste our entire exchange to prove it. They sent me to you guys because they even said it was beyond them. I have no idea why I'm being given the run-around. I've already spent 2 hours and 40 minutes with them before they told me to contact you guys.

Thank you for the response @luproductions.

If the Podcast team has advised you to post in the Community, let's investigate the situation together and we'll see what we can suggest from our end.

Would you mind sharing your podcast with us here so we can check it out as well? You can include a link in your next response.

Additionally, let us know if there are many other followers that are unable to see it and if it appears in the What's new section on mobile.

We'll be on the lookout 🙂

The series is called "One Year" (https://open.spotify.com/show/1lIaV8kQGJg5kuvkHQIcVS)

I am in talks with three other people who have confirmed that they haven't been finding it in "new episodes" on mobile.

Appreciate the cooperation @luproductions.

We tested on our end and we were also unable to see the episodes in the New Episodes section, however both on mobile and desktop, the episodes appear in the What's new section. Could you check this as well and let us know?

You can access the What's new section via the bell-icon on desktop and on mobile, click on your profile picture > What's new.

In the meantime, we've passed the info on to the relevant team so they can investigate and we'll let you know here as soon as we have any details.

Take care!

Yes, they appear in "what's new", but not in new episodes.

Thank you.

The last couple of weeks new podcast episodes aren't showing, I've managed to find one or two in the recommended list but when I go to the actual podcast they aren't there. This keeps happening and I don't know why. There's two new episodes I know have come out today but they're not there! Friends of mine are not having this issue. Help!!

I listen to a podcast, and the new episode comes out everyday. I see the new episode for today on my Desktop App but its missing from the mobile app (iOS).
I have tried restarting the app, refreshing as well as logging out and signing back in.

I am having this same issue. I can see a new episode for a podcast on my MacOS app, but not on my mobile app (Android).

Hey folks!

Thanks for letting us know. As @Ivelina has mentioned, could you check if the episodes can be found within the 'What's New' section on your mobile apps?
If the episodes are missing from the New Episodes section, we'd like to ask you to confirm if this is the case on both mobile and desktop or mobile only.

Much appreciated! We'll be on the lookout for your replies 🙂

I've just checked my series (it comes out on Sundays). On both desktop and mobile it's in "What's New", but only on mobile is it in "New Episodes". Also, I and others still aren't getting notifications for it. Yes, we have notifications on, and we're receiving notification for other podcasts.

Hey folks,

Thank you for your messages.

The relevant team made some checking backstage and some affected podcasts appear to be working properly again, would you mind checking it again?

If the issue still persists, we'd recommend updating Spotify to its latest version and even performing a clean reinstall of the app by following the steps mentioned in this article

If persistent, include in your next response the Spotify version you're currently running to pass this info internally again. Thanks for your patience and cooperation.

We'll be on the lookout.

Before last week I was able to add a show to "Your Episodes" on the Windows desktop client throughout the workday and if I didn't finish them then I would be able to continue from that list on my iPhone. Also, I could add episodes from my iPhone (especially ones from shows I "Follow" which I cannot get a consolidated list of new episodes of followed shows on my desktop client). Something changed last week and now the episodes are not synching, and I am finding this very frustrating. Since this is an issue in the handoff between my desktop and mobile experience, I have categorized it as other since I cannot choose multiple.

My episodes are now appearing in "New Episodes" and "What's New", but STILL aren't giving notifications to subscribers (yes, even with notifications set on). This is a problem that hasn't been and isn't being resolved with reinstallation/updates/resets. It is affecting my podcast's performance, since even subscribers already following the series aren't getting notified of new episodes. Please help.

My issue still hasn't been resolved. None of my subscribers are getting notifications. Yes; they all have their notifications on and allowed. I am getting notifications for other podcasts I've subscribed to but not for my own podcast. I have lost subscribers because of this issue. This has been going on for three months (since August).

My podcast is hosted on Spotify but I am considering migrating to Acast or another host if this isn't resolved. Please help.
