I recently moved into school and after a few days my Spotify desktop app will not load at all. All I get is a plain black screen with the minimize, full screen, etc. Whenever I closed the app, I have to go through task manager or it goes to Not Responding and I can't open it until I've gone through task manager. However, the online Web Player is working just fine.

I have reinstalled the desktop app numerous times through both the Microsoft Store and through Spotify directly. When I reinstall it, it's a quick download and the initial page that prompts you to login or create an account loads fantastically.

Same here, school wifi seems to have done something. website is not blocked but is completely blank. so annoying.

Have the same isssue. Tried Firefox and Edge. No plugins installed.

I think I have figured it out. It seems to be a WI-FI issue, it happens on
work and school wifi's, I don't know the specifics but i hope Spotify fixes
it

No it's not. On my laptop it happens no matter if I'm using wifi or lan.

I recently logged out of my account on the Spotify desktop app, but when I tried to log back in, it opened a tab in my browser that was just a blank white screen, and I couldn't do anything. I already tried restarting my computer and deleting/reinstalling the app, so I'm not sure if it's an issue with my connection or with Spotify's website.

I have the same problem. Black screen with APP and when trying to use Spotify through the web browser, I can see all artists but am unable to press play. The lower section to press play seems greyed out. I have re-installed the APP, rolled back windows 11 update, etc. etc. to no avail... Simply not able to use Spotify...

I have had this issue for 3 days now.  Spotify doesn't work on a browser, both a Windows 10 PC and a Samsung S23 Ultra phone, it is working on a windows 11 pc.  the site just gives you a white or black screen but nothing loads.  web browser up to date, cache cleared, dns flushed, computer restarted, firewall has Spotify exception, and still nothing.  installed the app but to login it takes you to the website that isn't loading so we can't even use the spotify app.  please help, i am at a loss.  like i said, it doesn't even load on my phone too.

have you fixed the issue yet? I have the same issue and I just googled it, finding a helpful post that contains various solutions, one of which fixes my issue. you can check it. Hope it works for you too.

Sorry, just seeing this.  I actually had to go into my tp-link router and change the dns to google's (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) and now it works fine. 🙂

I've been having the same issue since yesterday, and I had to use SoundCloud because I need music. It's sad. I don't like soundcloud as much. 😭
