Hi,
I have a problem with the Spotify app on the Samsung Galaxy Active 2 smartwatch. When I go to the "Your Music" section, both the "Your Collection" and "Your Playlists" menus are broken. They used to show different things but they both only seem to show the same playlists now.
Only 19 playlists show up. As you scroll down another page of items loads, however it just loads the same 19 playlists again and will do so infinitely loading the same page of 19 as you scroll down. It seems the playlists shown are the first 19 you see in "Custom order" on the PC. Frustratingly, pinned playlists aren't shown at all, which is particularly irritating since those are the ones you care most about. This also means you can't play your "Liked Songs".
So in essence there are three issues here:
1) "Your Collection" only shows playlists (I assume it is meant to show e.g. songs and/or albums)
2) "Your Playlists" doesn't show pinned playlists or "Liked Songs"
3) Both only load 1 page of items
I have a Premium account and the device is a Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 with Tizen software version 5.5.0.2. Unfortunately the Spotify app itself does not specify its version number anywhere (going to Settings -> Info just brings up a couple of open source licenses).
Many thanks,
Tom
I did find a work around for this but it is not ideal.
I have a galaxy watch gear S3 Frontier - the first mainstream smart watch, it is running software version 2.4.16
Spotify software actually had an update yesterday but it did nothing for the watches app, and I can report it is still running the same software and has no fixes applied.
A temporary fix, take the album you want to listen to and rename it with some numbers i.e your date of birth and then the name "gym" or what ever you want, go to music search from your watch and as you scroll down eventually you should see your album (which should technically be first on the list but Spotify app change means that your music is harder to find than anything else) when you find it select your album and then click download, select play once the album is fully downloaded.
Disconnect bluetooth and go for a run or gym session with your music playing.
If you try this in a different order, for example you switch the watch off, back on and then try to find your album while in offline mode, it will tell you the watch can not find song while offline - so the watch has to be connected while you find the album,
To resolve this I have left the watch constantly switched on with the album selected, becuase I know if I change spotify I will have to do this whole process all over again.
This is not ideal but it does work, what should happen is my watch (used to do this) would open up and have all of my personal saved albums displayed on the home screen interface - it was all there, you select the album, download them and then go offline and can refind them while the watch is offline with out using a search as your personal music was prioritized at the front.
You want to be realistic. I was the only one attempting to help others and not a single thank you, like, shout out. I paid for hosting and spent time writing code. I even was banned by Community Moderator Yordan.

My Question or Issue
Since a few months i can only see Playlists created by spotify. There is no menu item to get to my own playlists except for the search. But its a real pain to always type and find my own playlists when a few months ago i could simply select "My Collection" to get to them
Dear Spotify Team,
I have just gotten the new Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra. I would love to change volume inside the Spotify app, as well as using the double pinch gesture to pause/play my song. The current version is not not allowing either. I have zero option to change volume inside the app, since the bezel rotation on the Ultra Watch Version is not working at all.
Thank you very much in advance!
Same issue here. Tried installing / re-installing. I think it's the new version of the watch app (2.5.44) which is problematic
Hey folks,
Thank you for your messages.
To continue investigating this issue, would you mind confirming if you tried re-pairing the watch with your phone as @Yordan previously mentioned? If so and the issue persists, include in your next response the model and OS version of your Watch.
Also, and if possible; could any of you record a short video where we can take a better look of the new appearance? You can attach it to your next response by using the Insert Video option in the post editor. You can also upload it to YouTube or Google Drive and share the link with us (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to see it).
We'll be on the lookout.
Hi there
I also have the issue with my android phone and Samsung Gear Sport watch, I have re-download the Spotify app, cleared the app cache/data too and also had re-paired my watch to my phone first.
My playlists just don't show be be downloaded online or offline. Tried resetting Bluetooth on and off and offline mode, all that shows are options to browse Spotify music. On the watch I am logged on to my Spotify account but all it shows is Spotify categories, not my playlist options. It was working a week ago until I had to repair my watch for another unrelated reason.
Please help! Thank you!!

I tried re-pairing, reinstalling app, clearing cache, data and everything. I can only see Spotify playlists. I have no menu to find my own playlists, not even my liked songs or artists. Only crappy Spotify charts
Same problem here. There is no longer a menu item under which you can select your own playlists. Only music/playlists “By Spotify”. I use the Samsung Gear Sport and Spotify version 2.4.12. When I play the last song I listened to, I'm in my playlist, which is also downloaded. But it cannot be selected via the menu
