Is there any way to sort artist's genres by popularity

I've been developing an app that involves artist's genres. When I take make the request to get the genres from a specific artist, i got in return an alphabetically sorted array of the genres. My main problem is that, in most of the cases, there's one genre that the artist maybe made one song of, but is not their main genres, so I want to remove it from the array.

 So, is there any way to sort artist's genres by popularity or maybe sort from the most used genre to the less?
