My Question or Issue

Hello,

 

I got a new credit card and I'm trying to add it to my Spotify account so that my subscription payments will go on it instead of on one of my other cards.

 

It's active and working, I've used it for one of my Streaming subscriptions, with no problems. However, when I try to add it to my Spotify account, I'm told that the payment method is refused.

 

I contacted my bank and they confirmed that the problem was with Spotify. It's a Visa credit card. My country is correctly configured in my Spotify account and on my card.

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome. 

 

This could be a temporary connection issue, so if you tried several times to update your payment method, we'd suggest you wait a few hours and try again.


If the issue persists afterwards, we'd recommend you try a different device from the one you've used so far and use an incognito window to complete the process. Make sure to follow these steps from the incognito

  1. Go to your account page.
  2. Go to Manage your subscription, click Update next to your payment method.
  3. Enter a new payment method.
