If the payments keep failing afterwards, it's also possible that your account was locked for making any further payments, so it'd be best to reach out to the Customer Support folks, so that they can assist you further.

whenever I try to buy premium the checkout page doesn't load. After I choose the plan I want which is students, I link my gcash account every time and it takes me to a site but it never loads and takes me back to linking my gcash account

First of all, make sure to keep in mind the info sent by @Dessi above.
If you've checked everything is fine with your wallet and there are enough funds, we suggest trying subscribing again from Spotify.com/premium using a Google Chrome incognito window if possible. If it's not working, please send us a screenshot of the error so we can investigate further. Just make sure to hide any personal information from the screenshot.
On another note, keep in mind GCash isn't available in all countries. If you're trying to subscribe from a country where it isn't available, we suggest that you update the country in your account and use a valid payment method from there.
As a workaround, we suggest using a different payment method in the mean time if possible.

Unfortunately, I'm also having the same issue. I have not gotten my GCash verified for about 2 or 3 years now and I've been paying my student plan through GCash for 2 or 3 years now unverified. Today, my plan is unfortunately done even if I have enough money in my GCash and I've tried starting it up again and my payment has failed, I have no other option to pay because GCash isn't working. I even tried opening an incognito tab and each time I get a message on my phone from GCash saying I have linked my Spotify to my GCash, the payment keeps failing. I have spent 2 hours trying to get my plan started again and it keeps failing. I've tried paying through 3 different devices and even going as far as going to the incognito tab to start my student plan again and payment keeps paying through GCash. I have no other option to pay so I'm needing an answer. I'm also from the Philippines so I'm not sure if I'm the only one with the issue this October. I'm note even sure being unverified is the issue, I'm unfortunately having difficulty on verifying my GCash because I have not gotten the required documents to Verify so this is my only way of paying or starting up my Student plan again. Thanks!

When I was going to open Spotify on my phone it would say that my last payment didn't work so I tried updating it after that it still wouldn't work for some reason. I have been using the same gcash account and the same plan for years now and suddenly it wouldn't work? Is it because I'm using a gcash account that isn't verified? Please help
I tried to subscribe again and now it requires verification? I sent an application but pls fix it back to the old version where it isn’t required.
