Premium Duo stopped working

Premium Duo stopped working

Me and my wife have had Premium Duo for many years and it has worked perfectly. But as of a couple of months back, it has stopped working. Now, when either one of us is listening and the other one starts listening, we cut each other off. And occasionally there is an error message that "your account is being used by someone else", indicating that Premium Duo is not recognized anymore. But checking our account plans, it still states that we are running Duo.

We have tried to log out and log in again, but no change.

Would appreciate if anyone have some new ideas on how to fix this

Hey @lennartg ,

Welcome to the Spotify Community!

It sounds like you both are using the same account on your devices.

If you and the other person are logged into the same account, you cannot listen to music at the same time. The prerequisite for use on multiple devices is that each user has their own Spotify account so that everyone can enjoy their own music (at the same time) by being logged into the app on their own device.

In this case, I'd recommend that you both log out of the Spotify app on your devices and then log back in, but this time make sure that you both use different login credentials (your personal accounts). 🙂

You can find more info about Premium Duo here.

Let me know how it goes!
