Premium User Being Served Ads Constantly, this is unacceptable

Premium User Being Served Ads Constantly, this is unacceptable

My Question or Issue

I have been a premium subscriber for years and I am constantly being served advertisements. I pay for premium specifically to AVOID ads.

Examples of ads which are being served to me:

1) Spotify Earth Day "Earth's New Era"

2) "ALT NOW: Top Alternative Songs of today - listen now"

3) WHO FOUNDATION Support Relief Efforts "Devastating earthquakes have killed thousands of people..."

These advertisements are pop ups which cover my entire screen and served to me when I login.

Where is the option to permanently turn these advertisements off and why is it not more clearly visible and accessible? Why am I being served these advertisements when I am paying to NOT be served ads?

I would be very grateful if someone from Spotify would reply with the exact steps needed to disable these advertisements, or else I will be leaving Spotify after being a paying subscriber for year and years.

These are other threads which show that this is a systemic problem:

I found this thread while looking for a solution to the same problem. Iโ€™m entirely on OPโ€™s side. I hate any ads. Those pop-ups are terrible. The way the support representative ignores reality by insisting that those pop-ups arenโ€™t ads, nor do they interrupt the listening experience, is outrageous and disrespectful.

I went through the app's notification settings and disabled them, but today I got another stupid full screen ad I am forced to manually dismiss. Please let me turn this garbage off, seeing one every time I load the app when I pay specifically to avoid ads is really annoying.

How do I opt out of this?

โ€ƒToday's unwanted eye-garbage.

"The pop-ups you kindly mentioned are not actually ads"

If you look at wikipedia this is what it says about advertising:

"Advertising is the practice and techniques employed to bring attention to a product or service. Advertising aims to put a product or service in the spotlight in hopes of drawing it attention from consumers. It is typically used to promote a specific good or service, but there are wide range of uses, the most common being the commercial advertisement."

Spotify clearly generates revenue from all the popups, so I think it's safe to conclude that these adverts. Please Spotify, do the right thing and stop this practice.

I am severely immunocompromised. I paid to remove ads so that I would not be reminded that I can't go to concerts. It causes me HARM when you constantly serve concert ads after I paid for you to not serve ads. I literally paid for no ads so that I do not have to experience ads for things that I can no longer enjoy. You cannot redefine what an ad is. You violated the law. You people have to know there will be legal consequences for this at some point. This is fraud.

Here, another user super mega sick of Spotify's forced apologetic corporate response and blatant intrusion to privacy which is very clearly defined by EU rights and "pop-ups and adverts infringe on the user every five minutes of every listening session.

Best and only solution I found to fix this:

Buy CD's, rip your flacs and get a flac player for your system, best quality, you own the album, protect your privacy and you can forget about these people and help the artists.

These popups are ads. If you don't think so they also try to sell concert tickets and band merch.
