Your Spotify Ideas in Action - Year in Review: 2013

Hi everyone.

We owe a large part of 2013’s success to you. As the Spotify Community says hello to 2014, we’re taking a look back at our best year ever. Your comments and feedback have helped contribute to 44 Community Ideas being implemented — including Spotify Connect, subscribing to artists, and release notes for updates. You asked for it. We built it. 

We'd also like to give a huge round of applause to our official Idea Guardian and valued community member @Marco . He's been the glue of the idea exchange by making sure everything is organized and escalated in a timely manner. Also, @Taylor deserves a tip of the cap for his efforts. Check our full timeline of 2013’s implemented Ideas below and give it up for the ideas guardians!

• Bring back total playlist length!
• Indicate wether song in Message has been played
• Introduction of closed Beta testing programme
• Implement a Recycle Bin / Deleted Items / Trash Can - easy recovery for deleted playlists
• iOS7 design
• Mobile App (iPhone) lacks all the best desktop features!!!
• More precise playlist time length!
• Replying to Inbox messages
• Spotify Follow button for any website

NOVEMBER

• Remote control.
• Mobile App Sort and Search

• Resume playling on different device

DECEMBER

• All devices become one sound system
• Don’t automatically follow the creator of the playlist when I follow a playlist
• Please, base the recomendation on the music I listen!
• Better selection for new releases and popular albums.
• Spotify should institute a chat system
• Store playlist position on Android the same way as it is done on desktop.
• Top List based on Genre
• Make songs on Playlist Available to be Played on a Spotify Free Account, but with Ads. Mobile
