My Question or Issue
When searching for personalized playlists, Google Assistant devices re-direct to random albums with similar names.

I've got a routine within the Google Home app to “shuffle my daily mix 3 on Spotify”

Until mid April it worked as expected, recently it’s starting playing Daily Drive. I’ve messed around with the wording & sometimes it plays songs recommend to me (Based on the album Daily Mix 3 by Luis Masters) but will no longer play the thing I’m after.. My daily mix 3.

This has been an issue in the past with the album by Luis masters, I got around it by changing the wording but no luck this time.

Can this be looked into please.

Same issue here. I've done all the above as well. It does not play any of my playlists. It just finds albums and songs that have the same titles as my playlists. It's very annoying. It's the whole reason I use Spotify. If this does not stop I will have to switch to something else. Maybe Google is no longer integrating with Spotify.

My Question or Issue

Yesterday I noticed neither Google assistant or Alexa are unable to play my playlists. For example I have a playlist called "metal 6". Both used to be able to play it when saying "play my playlist metal 6" but now both of them start playing a generic metal playlist instead of my playlist.

As both exhibit the same behaviour it would seem there some issue with the Spotify service itself or my account.

Won't change anything.

Not app related... it's Spotify / Google / Alexa API handling the voice commands request

Try the Google command "What are my Spotify playlists?"

For me I get "You don't have any playlists."  That's why none of the other playlist commands work.

The Google/Spotify interface has an issue that has been recurring for years where playlist info is not available.

I struggle with the same issue. Tried changing the playlist name as well. Cleaned cache on both Google and Spotify apps. Unlinked, relinked Spotify again. Result is same. In my case, I am trying a simple automation to play the playlist titled morning prayers. Nothing works.

For the 100th time... this has nothing to do with the APPS!

In the case of the Google Home (HARDWARE devices) ecosystem, the apps are NOT NEEDED for the devices to function!

So, this is a Spotify / Google API problem that keeps coming back...

Keeping thread fresh as I continue to have the same issue as everyone else and have gone through all the troubleshooting, resetting and workarounds, but can no longer get ANY private/personalized Spotify Playlist to play through Google home through automation or voice request. Used to work for years, and now it's dead.

Used to work for years, until 2024, when someone (Spotify, Google or both, it's undefined) BROKE it!

Till then, several months passed until it was finally fixed back in JUNE 2024!

Few weeks ago it was broken again!...

And here we are, with hardware devices that serve almost no purpose when using VOICE commands! Not even the ROUTINES run now...

Also keeping the conversation fresh, it's still not working, whatever my Playlists is called Google plays something vaguely similar, not even the discover Weekly Playlist works. This worked for years, now suddenly it's **bleep**.

And yes, I've done whatever they've suggested, unlinked and re linked the account, factory reset the Google home devices, etc etc.

It still doesn't work

I have spent at least 5 hours in online chat with Spotify over the past 2 days. Handed from one person to the next(at least 12 different people). I have found the solution. Its called Apple Music. Spotify cant fix this as they wont listen to anything thats not a script. Im done with spotify

They FIXED it before!

This can't be Spotify fault only!

The Nest routines are not working, they trigger Spotify music!!!
