How do I remove a "paid" episode from my New Episodes feed?

Solved!

How do I remove a "paid" episode from my New Episodes feed?

I subscribed to the feed of a podcast that includes Paid episodes that I do not get. Yet they stay in my New Episodes feed, which clutters it up. I don't have the ability to remove it from the feed, which seems like a small bug? How do I go about removing it?

I logged into the Spotify app on my PC and was able to mark them as played which removed them from my new episodes in the app on my Iphone. Hover over the specific episode and then click on the 3 dots for more options and then select mark as played.

I am also affected by this. Please allow us to hide paid episodes.

I have this issue as well, is there a solution?

Same here, I want to have clean feed

Is the only way to remove a paid episode to unsubscribe?

This started happening to me the day before yesterday. Is there suddenly a level above premium? @Spotify, fix this now!

I have the same issue, it’s very frustrating. My solution so far has been to unsubscribe from the podcast.

Why has Spotify not fixed this bug for paid users of their service? This renders Spotify useless as a Podcast app and forces us to use different services.

Please fix this

My Question or Issue

I watched a couple podcast once for specific episodes and now they show the new episodes from those shows on my new episodes list which is very annoying as it is a short list and very useful for seeing your new podcast episodes on the home screen. So i’m wondering if there’s a way to get specific podcast off my list.

Thank you so much for this, it works! Would love it to be on the phone app or even the desktop site, but this is a good workaround for now. Many thanks.

My Issue:
Yesterday a certain podcast I followed had a lot of episodes appear under a paywall. So now under my “New Episodes” folder, I suddenly can’t click any check mark to remove them from my feed. So now my feed is loaded with episodes that are pay walled and I can’t get rid of them, the only option I have is to click the lock icon where the play button is typically located and then it asks me if I wish to pay.

Will there be an update soon to give us the ability to clear these useless podcasts? Or will our feeds just be loaded now with podcasts we can’t listen to unless we pay money? Why can we clear free podcasts but not these pay walled ones?

Having the same issue, also saw a Reddit post with this. Same podcast too, wondering if it’s Spotify or Crooked?

Not just Crooked - I have two others that are not Crooked related that are doing it as well. I’m up to 9 locked podcasts. I do not like it…said the ever so OCD man.

On a Mac there isn't a New Episodes tab so I had to "mark as finished" in the feed itself on my Desktop app. Not great.

I'll probably unsubscribe from Pod Save America because of this. I'll just try and remember they have new episodes, because I can't have 12+ episodes filling my feed that I can't listen to.

Sorry, I need to do this as opposed to just being able to check them off on my phone? And this was marked as a solution?
