I'm a premium user. But I still get ads?

I am a confirmed premium user but I'm still getting ads.

The ads I am getting during podcast are not in podcast ads. I used to not get ads, then my husband paid the next annual subscription and now I get ads. We have tried removing and reading my account but still adds.

This whole ads model defeats the purpose of paying for a premium product. Like I don’t want my podcast to be disrupted by an ad? You guys need to do a lot better than this. Your product used to be good.

I am a Prime user based in the UK, but I often receive ads targeted at a US audience. At times, two ads play back-to-back before or during a podcast, and they are unrelated to the podcast content, nor are they read by the podcasters themselves. As someone who listens to a lot of meditations, it's particularly disruptive when ads play in the middle of a meditation. I reached out to Spotify about this issue and was informed that ads are part of the podcast platform. This is so poor!

Your plans say adds free. Adds are still playing. Why?

My original Spotify account was through a family members account. In the last month it started having advertisements, so I decided to get my own premium account. I signed up for premium and have confirmation of it, but I continue to have advertisements. I deleted my old app in settings, I have restarted my phone and yet it is not syncing. I am fine with losing my playlists and starting new, but for some reason it isn't let me have that option. Please advise.

Absolutely outrageous. Unbelievable. Charging users money and still to receive ads? Good luck with that. Back to pocket casts it is, which as a podcast app is far superior to Spotify as a pocket cast app.

You can't have your cake and eat it. Subscription cancelled.

I am a Premium Individual subscriber and I am still receiving Spotify ads inbetween podcasts. These are not baked-in ad reads, they are inserted by Spotify.

I use Spotify in my classroom and today for the first time in my years subscribing to the premium plan, ads have been popping up while streaming music playlists. I am using the desktop app on a MacBook Air, and have confirmed that I am logged in with my premium account.

Yeah, the ads Spotify dynamically inserts are indiscernible from being a free listener. They're poorly timed, they're really loud, and incredibly annoying.

They often hit in the middle of a sentence or a word, and they really detract from the experience. I'm looking for an alternate podcast provider, as this is just not on. I'll probably cancel my family Spotify account when I find a better one.

I am having this issue too. I don't mind the host read ads but I'm getting YouTube style commercials on my premium subscription now as well. This plus a price increase doesn't make sense.

Same thing here. This clearly isn't host selected ads, as it is in a different language as the podcast itself. It really feels like YouTube ads. Unrelated, irrelevant and unnecessary. I pay premium to not listen to ads like this.

When the host reads an ad, the product usually relates to the podcast theme, and I appreciate the recommendation.

This is different and worse.

I also find this outrageous.

It’s frustrating because while the Premium package is advertised as a prestigious package that’s interrupted by advertising, I get advertisements and I do know how this can be rectified ☹️😫😨😰

Hey…

I have a premium account and still get ads on my iPhone. I only use Spotify on my phone. The phone app states I’m using Spotify free…but online Ive verified im a premium user. I’ve logged off, turned my phone off/on and logged in multiple times without success. Any suggestions??

Premium Family account, am getting inappropriate ads during Podcast I have been listening to for years

For several years I have enjoyed listening to Podcasts especially In Our Time.

Never once has an ad interrupted mid episode until now.  The ad was inappropriate as I am listening with a child and to have an ad play relating to a horror program is inexcusable. 

Cease immediately Spotify or I will be cancelling Family Premium Account.
