My Question or Issue

My Spotify lyrics haven’t been working for any songs. It’s been like this for a few weeks now (3+ weeks) and I’m getting frustrated. When I go to where the lyrics would usually be, it only gives info about the artist and possible merch. I’ve tried almost everything to fix it. Full restart, removing cache, logging out logging back in twice,  deleting the app and redownloading, powering off and powering back on my phone, but nothings working, I don’t know what to do now.

Your answer is vague.  Are lyrics gone for now?  Are they gone forever?

Just took out a free 3 months trial via PayPal. The idea being if happy I'll switch to a family premium plan for my household. Within half an hour I've already decided it's looking like Apple for our family music subscription because of no lyrics on Spotify.

Ignore this, lyrics randomly started working so all ok now.

The lyrics section in the Now Playing tab have been replaced with the About the Artist and Live Events tabs on my Spotify app on my Android phone (Vivo 15). The version of the app I am using rn is 8.8.56.538. How do I get the Lyrics tab back? Is this a recent update and I hope this will be replaced back with the Lyrics tab in the next one?

the new tabs didn’t replace anything, they appear right below the lyrics tab, at least this is how it works on any of my devices. maybe you’re just checking the songs that don’t actually have the lyrics?

I actually checked with my friends app later. It shows the About tab below the Lyrics tab as you say. But, my app doesn't show lyrics for any songs at all (for e.g. Paradise from Coldplay). I checked the song in both apps and my app doesnt show the lyrics.

it might be a bug then. try to clear all the app data in the system settings or fully reinstall the app. if it doesn’t help then reach the official spotify support.

but maybe they just put a new on/off lyrics feature in settings. yeah sounds crazy, but you could try to find something like that in the app settings

I did try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Will try clearing all the app data and running it again. Thank you for the response.

The “answer” is a non-answer. It should read: we’ve removed the lyrics feature on iOS for some/all users and we’ll let people know you don’t like it.

whixh further means: we don’t really care and won’t say if there are plans to return the feature.

have to love monopolistic non-support. I pay for this “service” but they own the market.

and yes, I’ve tried all the troubleshooting techniques. This is not a bug, it’s by design as the non-answer from Spotify makes clear if you read it carefully. They often roll features and tests out incrementally and only some users see the change…which is fine when something is being added, not when a feature is suddenly removed.

Have you enabled the offline mode? This hits me by reading this post. After switching to the online mode, I can access the lyrics.

My Question or Issue

This was a month or 2 ago when I started realising that the songs that I know had lyrics on just went missing. Keeps saying "Couldn't load the lyrics for this song" on both my iPad and iPhone. I don't think it's because of my Wi-Fi. If it would have been, then it wouldn't show only some lyrics. All of the lyrics would have went missing if it were my Wi-Fi (I am just guessing on that part). I tried almost everything I was recommended but they lyrics are still missing. I want some sorts of recommendations on what to do in this situation.
