iPad air freezes

IPad Air freezes almost every time I search. If I select a group (e.g songs) I get the list up. Add a song to a playlist and when the pop up window is dismissed, then I can no longer scroll the list. Sometimes if I select a different grouping and then go back it works, but not always. Have tried deleting and reinstalling app countless times but to no avail. Running iOS 8.1.2, spotify app 2.2.0.2464. Help!
