Can't play the current song

Can't play the current song

Let me just say that I've already checked just about every other thread with this topic that I can find. I've tried every single solution suggested in those threads, and still nothing.

 

The issue is that everytime I start a song it stops halfway through it for no reason whatsoever (low CPU usage, lots of RAM, fast internet) and it displays a message at the top of the screen saying "Can't play the current song". It provides literally no other information for me to at least try and troubleshoot.

 

Here are the things I've tried already:

- Restart computer

- Use .exe version as opposed to windows store version

- Reinstall spotify

- Turn off hardware acceleration

- Change streaming quality

- Turn off enhancements in my audio driver settings

 

Everything, but no luck still. I'm really starting to lose it now, I pay a $5 subscription for this, the least they can do is make their service ACTUALLY WORK for paying customers.

I'm on MacBook Pro, late 2017 and have the same issue. I've tried every option in other threads and none of them solved my problem!
