How long does it take for a Spotify account to activate after the email auto-confirmation?

I deleted my account a couple hours ago because I wanted to create a new account that was not tied to my facebook account in any way, and though I do not expect it to deactivate straight away, I was wondering how long it would take on average for an account to be deleted after you receive the email automated response? I cannot create a new account until the last one is deleted because of the email address.

It can take 48 hours or so. I don't think they would see a request as a priority and they probably have their hands pretty full at the moment with all the other stuff going on. How about changing your facebook email address then you'll be able to use it for your new account? Alternatively, use another email for the new account temporarily.
