I'm charged 4 TIMES when upgrading my account for premium for students.

I'm charged 4 TIMES when upgrading my account for premium for students.

SO FUSTRATED AND SO DISAPPOINTED IN THE CUSTOMER SERVICE. First I tried to upgrade to Spotify premium for students, and of course I needed to attach files to prove I'm a student, which was understandable, then errors kept occurring so I left and came back an hour later, tried again and it worked!! Now I go to my bank account and see I was charged 4TIMES by Spotify. WHAT. This is my debit card, I need my money back!!! Of course I try to be patient and email them/ send a form to try to fix this mistake which is not my mistake. And guess what, NOBODY RESPONDS. I've waited Hours and still no response. My account is now negative because I only planned on paying $5. Each day I go negative in my account I owe my bank money, so I'll be paying like $30 a day because nobody wants to respond?!?!?! This is completely uncalled for and I love the service Spotify provides but really. Customer service is a disappointment honestly. I need my 3 extra months charged back, I'll continue the service but I don't have the money to just throw away. I need this to be fixed now and this is frustrating because I have patience but I'm not made of money and nobody is responding.

I was charged three times and I also have no idea why. I wish i could get some help

The same things just happened to me. It said I didn't qualify for the student discount thing so I tried it again and still didn't work. Then I check my account and I was charged $10 and still no premium on the app 😞

Did you get an email receipt for your subscription purchase?

In it, it shows the Spotify username you paid for:

Username/ID: xxxxxxx

Logout of the app, and be sure to use it, instead of your email address, to login to your account. It's the one with the Premium features.

If you didn't get any email receipt, sometimes the amount gets 'on hold' even if the charge doesn't go through. Normally the amount gets back to your bank account a day or two later.

In any case, you should contact customer support through this link:

https://support.spotify.com/contact-spotify-support/

They'll help you out. They take, at the most, 24 hrs to get back to you.

Don't forget to check your spam folder for responses as they may end up there.

If you get an automated email directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to support@spotify.com and one of the customer services agents will get back to you.
