Keep being logged in as someone else!

I logged in with my username and password, but im still logged in as someone else. Please help, want my own music back...

Edinachr - Looks like someone else has linked their Facebook with your Spotify. Not to worry, I've just disconnected it. Should now be sorted.

For future reference, you can disconnect Facebook from your 'Preferences' menu in your Spotify.

I can't seem to de-couple my my spotify from another persons Facebook account on my own. It keeps telling me "failed to enable spotify social" in a pink flashing banner when I try to connect to facebook from the preferences page.

What is the exact issue you are having? 

Is your profile showing the wrong details or are you getting the "Paused, account used elsewhere" error?

Everything is as it should be besides the name on the top right of the player. Its really weird, IM not getting any Paused, account used elsewhere" I've reset my password. 

the name of the person top right is a friend and I've asked her to log out of her account etc.

all my playlists are there but it say the user is this other person not me.

Have you gone to Edit/Spotify > Preferences > Social Network > Disconnect from Facebook and then reconnect using your own account?

yeah i disconnected her from it, but i dont connect to facebook on it so it doesnt have the other persons profile pic just their name not mine

Ah in that case it probably will take 24 hours for the data to clear for you. 

If not after that time, go for a clean reinstallation and that should do it!

Hi,

I'm logged in as someone I've never known and lives in another country.

I've tried to connect/disconnect from facebook since I dont connect to social media. I've reinstalled and it still says on my mobile device I'm logged in as someone else.

Hey @jazzmini1959,

Please try this:

Open Spotify and

1. Click Edit in the menu bar.
2. Select Preferences.
3. Under Social Network, click Disconnect from Facebook.
4. Click Disconnect again to confirm.
5. If you want to connect your own Facebook account, click Connect.
6. Enter your Facebook Email and Password then click Log In.

Note: It may take 24 hours for the changes to be visible.
