credit card falsely shown as expiring asking me to update

My card is not expring and has worked fine this month but now my account on spotify says I need to upexpiringdate as it is expring.  I am not keen to do this as I know card is not expiring.  Is this a common glitch or a type of hack?  Is it safe to input credit details again? Thanks

Answer, kind of misses the point - the message shouldn't be there at all if the card is not expired.  I have the same issue

Nope...that is NOT the answer.

I will not renew a card that I know for sure is not expiring.

I should not be seeing the message.

If I lose Spotify because of a glitch I will go to Pandora or Amazon where I have premium accounts.

I love Spotify but any glitch that makes me nervous about my credit card info is unacceptable.
