Shuffle turns off when picking new song

My Question or Issue

If shuffle is turned on either through the "Shuffle All" button or by using the option on the current song, then I select another song to play manually from within the same playlist, shuffle turns off and songs play in list order again. This is new behavior and extremely frustrating.  The only way to get around turning off shuffle seems to be adding songs to queue instead of playing them, but that's a lot of extra clicks to add to queue then skip through the current song to get to the one I actually want!
