Spotify keeps deleting my offline playlist

Everytime my Spotify updates on my 5th Gen iPod, it deleted almost all of my offline songs that I sync from my PC to the iPod. I have had this happen twice now and both times I have to completely uninstalled the app and reinstall it again to resync my offline songs.

Is this a bug? Is there any way to fix this problem? 

As a frequent user of the Spotify for mobile and paying the $9.99 month after month, it is getting really annoying that this problem keeps occuring.

Yes this is a bug that affects local files.

 

The developers are investigating it and hopefully it will be fixed in a future update.
