Why are random songs playing in my liked song playlist?

 Starting this week my liked playlist started playing random songs. I understand this is a feature of Spotify but not in my playlist. What's the point of making a playlist if it's just going to play a bunch of random stuff I have no interest in? I do have a premium account but if I'm just going to be forced to listen to whatever I'm going to cancel it. I may as well listen to the radio. My OS is android.

Issue resolved. One of my coworkers had the same problem. If you hit the shuffle button it gives you the option to use shuffle or "smart" shuffle. If you choose smart shuffle it plays random stuff.

Not anymore... Spotify seems to have got rid of the standard shuffle. I guess smart shuffle brings in more dollars, screw the premium user...
