Using Spotify with my 2012 Honda Civic?

Alright, so around the end of August I got a 2012 Honda Civic with the i-MID system. I was really excited to start using it, but I was unable to get it to work with Spotify. As in the album info as well as artwork never appear. Is there anyway to make it work, or does anyone have experience with it? Thanks in advance!

Are you using an ipod touch or phone? what generation and firmware? 

Someone said on iphones if you turn off location it fixes some problems.

I have a '12 civic si and a brand new itouch, and want to know if this will work before i pay for premium. Try the location thing and let me know.
