iPad won’t open to yesterday’s spot

I’m listening to an old daily podcast. Each day, I have to find that day’s episode because each day, the app opens to a random date in August, not the episode I left off with the day before. Even if I set the sort order to unplayed and “descending by date”, it still won’t open with the next episode after yesterday’s. Is there a way to fix it? It’s really annoying (unless it’s august). 😄

Do you know if you are running the latest version of iOS and of the app? have you tried deleting and reinstalling the app?

I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app. I assumed I had the latest version of iOS, because I have automatic updates enabled but, sure enough, it’s not up to date. I’ll see if that fixes it.

Glad to here it works now. Unfortunately (or fortunately?), sometimes technology fixes itself and we have no clue why sometimes. Let me know if the issue reappears!
