How are songs chosen?

Hello, I'm new to the spotify community (which I had no idea existed but was signed up for since last year lol). The users on here have great information, so I thought this would be the perfect place to ask about how songs are selected by Spotfiy to be featured in a playlist.

(2) Once a song is selected, do playlists curators look at your other work for consideration? 

(3) How many Spotify playlists can your music be in?

(4) Can your song be selected more than once for that same playlist?

(5) How recent does a release have to be in order to be feature in a "New music ---" playlist?

I'm just curious because I had one of my songs selected and it was so unexpected that it got me curious about the process. My audience grew due to my song being in official Spotify playlists, so that got me excited.
